Family Self-Sufficiency Program

Are you having a hard time making ends meet?

Are you discouraged about your future?

Do you have a dream? Do you want to be self-sufficient?Do you want encouragement, resources and a savings account?

Well, the Longview Housing Authority has a unique program called . . . Family Self Sufficiency (FSS), and it's waiting for YOU!!

The FSS program is available to Section 8 families only (sorry, the  Mod-Rehab, HOME Program and Pacific and Wahkiakum County families are not eligible at this time).  No matter where you are in life, this very moment . . . FSS can work for you.  You are eligible for the FSS Program if you are receiving TANF, attending school or already earning income.  FSS will give you the confidence, resources, encouragement and opportunity to earn an escrow savings account to see your dream come true.

FSS is a five year program (or less if necessary).  It is the only program that is known to reward you when you have completed your FSS contract, by giving you your escrow savings.  No strings attached!!  When you have completed your FSS contract and have been off public assistance for 12 consecutive months you can use your escrow to further your education, buy ahome, start a business or anything your family desires!

LHA has given away escrows from $350 up to $6000 to FSS graduates.  Several FSS families are now living in homes they bought using their FSS escrow as a down payment.  Wouldn't you like to know more about the FSS program and what it can do for your family?
