Subsidized

Eagle Pointe Village is a 17 unit independent living complex for low-income elderly individuals or couples, located overlooking the Columbia River in scenic Cathlamet, Washington.  This newlyEagle.jpg (201756 bytes) constructed complex, of which 12 are subsidized, is directly adjacent to a city park and the Cathlamet High School.   Some unique amenities to this complex include a Community Center, laundry facility and lots of parking.  Some of the units are fully handicapped accessible, and those eligible for the project-based certificate program will pay no more than 30% of their income for the rent.  Market rents for the unassisted units will be affordable for those whose income is less than 80% of median income for Wahkiakum County.  Water/sewer/trash will be included with the rent each month.  On site management is available.

Sylvester Apartments are located at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts at 1540 Commerce Ave. in Longview,wpe7.jpg (24565 bytes) Washington.   Located on the National Historic Registry, the Sylvester Apartments were renovated in 1994, utilizing a unique blend of  Local, State and Government entities.  This secured four story brick building in downtown Longview contains 35 beautifully decorated one bedroom apartments with elevator access, exclusively for low-income individuals or couples over 62 years of age.  Tenants of the Sylvester Apartments are expected to pay no more than 30% of their adjusted income for rent.  Also included in the rent are water/sewer/trash, basic cable service and parking.  Pets can be approved with an application and pet deposit.

Hawthorne House  is located at 1400 Woodside Terrace, just off   I-5 in Woodland, Washington.  This 61 unit complex is funded by the Dept. of Agriculture through the Farmer's Home Administration, which also funds the subsidy program.  Tenants must be 62 or older, or disabled or handicapped, and must be independent and able to care for themselves.  Rent can be subsidized and is based on 30% of adjusted income.  Amenities at Hawthorne House include elevator access for the 2nd floorwpe8.jpg (24944 bytes) units, laundry facilities on each floor, handicapped accessible units, and emergency call switches in each unit.  Hawthorne House also has spacious and well tended landscaping on level ground.  There is plenty of parking and the complex is close to shopping, churches, beauty shops and community activities.  Hawthorne House's social room is always busy with it's pool table, TV and card playing area, plus, the coffee is always on.

Tulip Valley is located right next door to Hawthorne House, at 1350 through 1370 Woodside Terrace, in Woodland, Washington.  Tulip Valley consists of 39 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units, all federally subsidized through the Farmer's Home Administration.   Qualifying individuals and families generally pay 30% of their adjusted income for rent and utilities.  Tulip Valley's landscaped grounds include a playground, laundry facilities and a social room, and is close to schools, shopping and churches.  Onsite management is located at 1400 Woodside Terrace.

Non subsidized

Stratford Apartments, 1312 Hemlock St., Longview, Washington.  The Stratford Apartments are 20 studio units located in historic downtown Longview.   These well maintained apartments are located on the 3rd and 4th level of an attractive brick building with secured entry.  Housing Authority offices are located on the ground floor.  Units rent for $310 per month with a $225 deposit, a $200 pet deposit (if applicable), and $20 application fee.  Hot water and water/sewer/trash is provided at no cost to the tenant.  Laundry rooms are located on each level.

wpe1.jpg (36339 bytes)Blackstone Apartments, corner of 20th Ave and Louisiana St. in Longview, Washington.   The Blackstone is a beautiful, historic brick building located on the Old West Side of Longview.  This secured, three story building contains 20 apartments ranging from studios to 2 bedrooms.  Some of the larger units have fireplaces, formal dining rooms, and other unique features of the 40's such as chandeliers , hard wood floors and original woodwork.  Units rent from $315 to $595 per  month with a $250 deposit, $200 pet deposit (if applicable) and $20 application fee.  Included in the rent are water/sewer/trash and steam heat.  Laundry room is located in the basement.  The building is equipped with an elevator to provide easy access.

Mint Place Apartments are located at 3835 Mint Place, near the Mint Valley Golf Course in  Longview, Washington.  Enjoy the comfort and convenience of   an apartment community that has the fine features you have come to expect in apartment living.  Decks, patios and exclusive use of a fitness center, pool and spa are all a part of Mint Place lifestyle.  Other special features of Mint Place include, washer/dryer hook-ups in the two and three bedroom units, private storage and an outdoor play area for the children.  Mint Place includes one, two and three bedroom units ranging in price from $505 to $695 per month with a $225 deposit.  There is also a $20 application fee.  Small pets (under 20 pounds are acceptable with a pet deposit).

Harmony House is a remodeled three bedroom house located on 20th Avenue in Longview, Washington.  Harmony House provides independent living for three individuals with chronic mental illness and is administered through a partnership with Longview Housing Authority, SW Regional Support Network and S.
