Washington State Emergency Management Division offers Washington Disaster webpage to help flood victims
Webpage contains information about a new housing helpline and other useful information. Go to: http://www.wadisasternews.com/go/site/1105/
A group of employees from Longview Housing Authority recently spent a day in Lewis County volunteering to assist flood victims of the recent storm. They worked all day in the small farming community of Boistford, WA where they were assigned to help a homeowner with clean-up. The team rallied together to shovel debris and mud out of a home and strip the walls of plaster so the owner could start drying the home out. It was great to be part of an army of volunteers that are arriving from as far away as Vancouver B.C and Eugene, OR.
