Sylvester Apartments are located at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts at 1540 Commerce Ave. in Longview, Washington. Recorded on the National Historic Registry, the Sylvester Apartments were renovated in 1994, utilizing a unique blend of Local, State and Government entities. This secured four story brick building in downtown Longview contains 35 beautifully decorated one bedroom apartments with elevator access, exclusively for low-income individuals or couples over 62 years of age. Tenants of the Sylvester Apartments are expected to pay no more than 30% of their adjusted income for rent. Also included in the rent are water/sewer/trash, basic cable service and parking.
